Edify Session on “Thalassemia”
Centre of Molecular Medicine and Diagnostics (COMManD), Department of Biochemistry presented the Edify video titled “Thalassemia” on 26.03.2022 at Decennial Hall, Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals. The session was presided over by our beloved Director of Academics, Dr. Deepak Nallaswamy, Registrar (Academics), Dr. Sheeja Varghese and Dean (Faculty), Dr. N.D. Jayakumar. The Edify Session started with award presentations. “The Workaholic Award” was given to Dr. Ullas Mony, Professor and “The Punctuality Award” was given to Dr. R. Kaviyarasi, Lecturer of our department. The Edify session was moderated by Dr. Ullas Mony and presented the video to all the faculty. The video is all about thalassemia, its prevalence, pathophysiology and curative options. Finally, the session was open for comments from all the faculty present in Decennial Hall and it ended with appropriate clarifications.
