Centre of Molecular Medicine and Diagnostics (COMManD)
This Centre is established to promote diagnostics, cellular and molecular research and clinical application on devastating human diseases. The centre will combine experimental and clinical research to increase the understanding of devastating human diseases such as sepsis, cancer, infectious and genetic diseases and thereby improve the health and quality of human life
Mission of COMManD
The mission of the Centre of Molecular Medicine and Diagnostics (COMManD) is to contribute to the diagnosing ,understanding, preventing and curing devastating human diseases such as sepsis, cancer, infectious and genetic diseases. This will be accomplished through novel basic and translational research programs.
Scientific Goal of COMManD
The goal of the Centre of Molecular Medicine and Diagnostics (COMManD) is to apply basic and translational molecular research approaches to better understand, diagnose and eventually treat devastating human diseases.
Scientific Vision of COMManD
The Centre of Molecular Medicine and Diagnostics (COMManD) is building cutting edge scientific programs that interface with clinical programs by recruiting outstanding scientists and researchers to work in a multidisciplinary scientific environment designed for maximum innovation and productivity.
Research @ COMManD
The focus of Centre of Molecular Medicine and Diagnostics research will be on devastating human diseases. Many of these diseases, including sepsis, cancer, infectious and genetic diseases can be studied and understood using translational molecular research approaches present at COMManD.
COMManD is under Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Saveetha University where there is proximity to basic sciences research as well as clinical care units. This is an internationally unique opportunity in diagnosing, understanding, preventing and curing devastating human diseases such as sepsis, cancer, infectious and genetic diseases. Our strategy is to combine competence from different research groups of COMManD to foster interdisciplinary research.
